When you come to Crested Butte for CBMC, there are many activities to enjoy when you aren’t participating in the conference. This region of Colorado is a recreational mecca in the summer. Known for its wildflowers, hiking, and mountain biking. There are activities for every level of fitness.

Sign up for activities from the Conference-Sponsored Activities page like the Golf and Fishing tournaments, rafting and hikes are still available on Monday morning between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
And just a reminder to all that come to our conference to please be patient as there are many changes in Crested Butte. Many restaurants and activities have been having staffing issues in the last few years.

Farmers Market
The Town of Crested Butte hosts a Farmers Market in downtown Crested Butte on Elk Avenue.
In 2026, the Market season will run from Sunday, May 31st through Sunday, October 11th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
The Crested Butte Farmers Market is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and farm-to-consumer sales within Crested Butte. The Crested Butte Farmers Market offers organic and certified naturally grown vegetables, fruits and herbs, pasture-raised and grass-finished meats, artisanal cheese, juices, breads, pastries, jams, jellies, pickles, cut flowers, as well as a wide assortment of locally produced arts and crafts.

Arts Festival
Crested Butte, Colorado, is home to one of the nation’s top arts festivals. Crested Butte holds their annual Arts Festival sometimes during the closing weekend of CBMC. There is a jury to select exhibitors, and since the competition to exhibit in this If you have never had the opportunity to visit this festival, plan to stay over following the conference to check it out.
